Creep

In many cases it is sensible to calculate the creep coefficient accurately. In general the creep coefficient, and therefore also the effective creep coefficient, will then be lower.

Creep coefficient

Creep Coefficient

Cement class

The chosen cement class (class S, N or R according to EN 1992-1-1 Annex B). In the dialog this field is labelled Group.

Relative humidity

The relative humidity RH in %.

Age

The age of the element in days at the moment of loading (t0).

Theoretical thickness

The theoretical thickness h0 of the element in mm.

Creep coefficient

The creep coefficient calculated according to EN 1992-1-1 B.1.

Use in the Calculation

The creep coefficient is entered with the concrete profile. See Concrete Profiles. With this coefficient the effective creep coefficient is calculated according to EN 1992-1-1 art. 5.8.4.

You can either specify the creep coefficient yourself or have it calculated here. When you have the creep coefficient calculated, a detailed calculation according to EN 1992-1-1 B.1 is shown in the output.
