Profiles

Every member is assigned a profile. When a new profile is added, XBeam2d first asks which type of profile you want to enter.

Profile Types

• Steel - Selection from the library of more than 2700 standard steel profiles
• Concrete - Concrete cross-section for the code check according to Eurocode 2
• Timber - Selection from the common commercial timber sizes
• Built-up profile - A cross-section composed of several profiles
• Other - A user-defined profile with your own section properties
