Timber Profiles

A timber profile is selected from the standard profile library or entered with your own dimensions.

Profile Name

The name of the profile. You are free to choose the name.

Note: You can also type the name of the standard profile directly. For example 85 x 175.

A large number of common commercial sizes in European spruce and pine is included in our database, from which you can choose. Click on the dots ... The dialog below becomes visible and you can make your profile choice.

Standard timber profile

Material

Choice of material.

  • Type of timber - Sawn, glued, etc.
  • Strength class - C14, C16, C18, C20, etc.
  • Service class - 1, 2 or 3.

There are a number of basic shapes.

Note: You can adjust all dimensions by clicking on the number in the dimension line. In this way you can enter a profile yourself that may not be in our database. That gives a lot of flexibility.

Properties

  • E - The modulus of elasticity can be adjusted.
  • Angle - The angle of the profile with respect to the y-z coordinate system.
